DSL Directions - Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

A Router is needed if you are connecting more than one computer to the Internet at a time. Although there are several brands of Wired and Wireless routers, the should all be compatible with your YHTI DSL service.

  1. Open System Preferences, either from the Dock or the Apple menu.

  2. When the System Preferences window appears, click on the Network icon.

  3. From the Location drop down menu (at the top of the window), choose Automatic. OS X will decide how you are trying to connect.
  4. From the left-hand pane, choose Ethernet.
  5. In the right-hand pane, select "Automatic" or "DHCP".
  6. Click on the Apply button in the lower right corner.
  7. To close the window, click on the red button.
  8. Restart your PC and turn the DSL modem off and back on.
