A Router is needed if you are connecting more than one computer to the Internet at a time. Although there are several brands of
Wired and Wireless routers, they should all be compatible with your YHTI DSL service.

- Connect your DSL Modem and Filters
- Click on the START button, located at the bottom left of your monitor, and then on the Control Panel.
- Click on the "Classic View" link located at the top left of the window then double click to open the Network and Sharing Center icon from the Control Panel.
- Click on the "Manage network connections" link located in the Tasks area of the window. at the top left of the screen.
- Right click on the Local Area Connections icon and left click on Properties.
- Click Continue at the Permission to continue window.
- Highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" from the bottom of the "items" list and click Properties.
- Select "Obtain an IP Address Automatically".
- Select "Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically".
- Click OK at the "Internet Protocol Version 4 Properties" window and then OK at the "Local Area Connections" window.
- Restart your PC and turn the DSL modem off and back on.
